During these 3 days, you can enjoy some of South Africa’s finest wildlife spots at a very affordable rate! On this tour you will experience the thrill of being on safari, observing the Big 5 (lion, leopard, Cape Buffalo, rhino and elephant) as well as a host of antelope, birdlife and amphibians, and be inspired by an authentically African atmosphere in the largest game reserve in South Africa. Kruger National Park is larger than some small countries in Europe and is just less than two million hectares of conservation area. On this Safari, you will enjoy comfortable accommodation in a private lodge, awesome game drives and beautiful scenery. Because of the well-trained guides, we are proud to offer an 80% Big 5 success rate on our game drives. All guides are FGASA (Field Guides Association of SA) registered. We call this a budget safari simply because we have made the right arrangements with key suppliers and service providers that has enabled us to reduce the cost of this safari. Other than that there is nothing budget about this safari. This tour takes place in the central region of Kruger National Park, and your base will be a lodge just outside Hazyview.

Day 1: Johannesburg to Kruger National Park & Afternoon Game Drive
This Kruger budget safari departs daily from Johannesburg OR Tambo airport. You need to be at the OR Tambo bus terminal by 06:30AM. We will send you full instructions when you book your safari. The shuttle departs no later than 07:00AM. You travel East passing picturesque landscapes and farmlands on route to our lodge near Kruger. There will be two comfort stops along the way. You will also be able to buy snacks and refreshments and visit restrooms during these comfort stops. There will be a brief change-over of vehicles at Nelspruit, where you will travel in a smaller vehicle to the lodge about one hour away. Expected time of arrival at our lodge in Hazyview is around 11:30PM. After check-in you will have time relax and freshen up before boarding an open sided 4×4 game drive vehicle for an exciting afternoon game drive in Kruger National Park, starting at 15h30. The lodge is about 15 – 20 minutes’ drive from the Phabeni Kruger Gate. After your safari game drive, you return to the lodge where you can unwind, have drinks on the deck at the bar and relax before dinner served at 19:00PM in the restaurant area. Day 2: Kruger National Park –
open vehicle game drives This morning you will enjoy coffee/tea and rusks from 5h15AM before departing on a full day of game viewing in the Kruger National Park (Skukuza area) at 5h30AM. A Packed breakfast is included. Game drives are in small groups in specially modified open sided land cruisers. The Skukuza area is rich in wildlife and the elevated height of the 4×4 open-sided vehicle makes for excellent viewing and photographic opportunities. You’ll enjoy lunch @ about 12PM at one of the park’s restaurants. (own account). After lunch, we start a short afternoon game drive in the Kruger National Park. During this game drive, you’ll see a wide variety of wildlife and have plenty of photographic opportunities. After our tour, we’ll make our way to back to our lodge or camp for 3PM to 3h30PM. There is an optional afternoon / sunset game drive which you can pay for directly at reception, it departs at 3h30PM and returns at 6PM. Dinner is server at the boma area or restaurant from about 7PM
Day 3: Last day: Return to Johannesburg (Optional Morning Game Drive)
This is the last day of your African Kruger budget safari. This morning you have a choice between another morning game drive or relaxing at the lodge and enjoying the great facilities it offers. Should you choose to stay at the lodge, you can enjoy a hearty cooked breakfast at the restaurant. If you join us on the morning safari, a picnic-style breakfast will be served at one of the picnic spots in the park. The morning game drive is entirely optional and for own account (payable at the lodge). It is a great way to spend your last morning on tour if you feel the need to see wild animals one last time. Optional Morning Game Drive@ approximately ZAR 1080.00 per person You will be picked up at the lodge (from reception) at about 11h00 for your return to Johannesburg with the shuttle. The first part of the drive will be in a smaller vehicle to Nelspruit, about one hour away. There will be a brief change-over into a larger shuttle, which will depart at 13:00. There will be comfort stops on the way. Drop off at Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport will be around 17:30PM. Please do not book a flight for earlier than 19:30PM to allow enough time for airport procedures.
