Garden Route - a quick and fast-paced way to see some of the best spots along this piece of paradise on the south-eastern coast of South Africa. If you have limited time, this tour is ideal to get you to so many places in a very short time. Search for Africa's Big 5 animals in their natural habitat, from an open 4x4 vehicle in a malaria-free private game reserve and on foot with an included walking safari. Set your sense of adventure free; Bungy jump, walk along forest footpaths, canoe in Wilderness, crawl deep underground in the Cango Caves or interact with African wildlife. Travel distance: ±1300 km - about 4,5 hours per day (excluding rest stops) This is a small group tour with no more than 13 people per vehicle and tour guide. More than 1 vehicle might be travelling on the same tour. Subject to availability, this itinerary can run in a different or reverse order. This scheduled group tour requires a minimum number of travellers to operate. This tour is not suitable for children younger than 10 years of age. The bush drive vehicles used are an especially adopted open-roof converted jeep or truck. Subject to the group size of the day at the reserve. You'll join other groups on the safari drives. As per usual, wildlife is unpredictable and animal sightings can't be guaranteed - but that makes safari experiences even more exciting as you'll never know what you'll find around the next bend. Leopards are nocturnal and rarely seen on Western Cape region game drives. They roam freely high up in the mountainous regions and cannot be contained in with fences.

Day 1: Route 62, Oudtshoorn
Morning pick-up between 06:00 and 08:00am anywhere within 10km from Cape Town City Centre. Travel Route about 450 km Journey through the semi-desert of the Klein Karoo as you travel along Route 62, a scenic road meandering all the way from Cape Town to Oudtshoorn. Tour deep underground in the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains, admiring the illuminated limestone formations of the Cango Caves. As per your price package selection; overnight in Oudtshoorn and stay at Uthando Backpackers or Comfort Buffeldrift Glamping Tented Lodge.
Day 2: Wilderness, Sedgefield
Travel Route about 400km Get up early for an optional Elephant Bush Walk. Learn more about these gentle giants as walk with them in a natural environment. Jump into a two-man canoe and row gently down the river of the Wilderness National Park. Face your fears with this optional activity as you bungee from the world’s highest bungee-jumping bridge. Alternatively, visit the lush forests of the Tsitsikamma area. Spend the evening soaking in the slow town way of life in Sedgefield. Check out the rustic beach restaurant in Sedgefield or venture into town for a more intimate dinner. Overnight in Sedgefield area (subject to your price option selected); stay at PiliPili Backpackers Rooms or Comfort PiliPili Beach cabanas ensuite rooms.
Day 3: Botlierskop Game Reserve
Travel Route about 450km (excluding game drive time) Your journey today will begin in the heart of the African bush. On your first stop of the day, spot some of Africa’s wild animals from the back of an open 4x4 vehicle in the malaria-free Botlierskop Private Game Reserve. Search for giraffe, white rhino, kudu, lion, elephant, zebra and wildebeest, just to name a few. The game drive is led by an experienced game ranger, sharing his knowledge of the local wildlife; including antelope species, birdlife and insects. When your guide finds the perfect spot, you'll hop off your safari vehicle for an even closer connection to nature on a tranquil bush walk. Follow your game ranger as you try to find wildlife through the coastal renosterveldt and Cape fynbos. Keep an eye out for animal tracks, and learn about the medicinal value or names of the surrounding plants as you walk.
