Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Hotel check in
Arrival in Kigali where you will be welcome by your tour guided. You will check-in at hotel and have optional afternoon activities (depending on time of arrival)
Day 2: Kigali city tour, Genocide Sites in Bugesera
Kigali city tour. Visit Kigali Genocide Memorial Site, Kandt House, Camp Kigali Memorial and wind up the day by visiting more genocide memorial sites in Bugesera. Overnight in Kigali
Day 3: Kings Palace and Ethnographic Museums
On the Day 3 of your trip, you will be able to visit the Kings' Palace and Ethnographic Museums with stop over at the Kamegeri Rock in the Southern Province of Rwanda.
Day 4: Murambi Genocide Memorial
On the day 4, you will visit Murambi Genocide memorial. En route, you will pass by to Mountain Huye Coffee and visit their washing stations and tasting their coffee. Afterwards, head to Murambi Genocide Memorial. Transfer to Karongi through Nyungwe Forest and overnight in Karongi.
Day 5: Environmental Museum in Karongi, Kibuye
Visit environmental Museum in Karongi and learn more on different plant varieties used for traditional medicine. Afterwards, experience boat ride in Lake Kivu, visit Amahoro and Napoleon islands. Afternoon transfer to Rubavu and overnight there.
Day 6: Village Tours in Rubavu
In Rubavu, You will visit Potters community and do a cultural activity involving Handcraft experience, Food experience or traditional women activities. Go for Rubavu town sighting and overnight in Musanze.
Day 7: Gorilla Guardians Village and departure.
Interaction with gorilla guardians community members on their history, culture. Offering an adventurous stay in a traditional rural, Rwandan village that has existed for centuries living with and next to mountain gorillas in the park. The village gives you a rare chance to meet local people, in their environment, with a taste of our culture and traditions. Activities include village walk, Visiting the king’s house replica, traditional dances,Visiting a local traditional healers among others. Afterwards, have your local lunch and depart to the Airport.
