Itinerary
Day 1: Tirane - Karavasta Lagoon - Berat

Transfer to Karavasta Lagoon, where you’ll take a scenic boat ride. Head to Berat one of the most interesting cities in Albania.

Visit Berat Castle castle the pride and joy of the city of Berat.Step into a traditional house of a local family to taste Turkish café and Gliko.The most striking thing about this castle is that, unlike any other ancient castle, life inside its ancient walls continues to this day!

Take a walk in Berat below: its own town with houses, bars, and restaurants, surrounded by an especially lush landscape that breathes even more life into this mythical place.

Berat is a famous region for wine production. Wine tasting tour in the afternoon. 

Free evening to enjoy the city by your own. 

Day 2: Berat - Gjirokaster - Sarande

Today we will head to Gjirokastra One of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.This gorgeous, carefully preserved, peculiar-looking city is built on steep slopes where stone-roofed houses seem to be built on top of one another. Take your time to walk through The Gjirokastra Bazaar which lies long beneath the castle walls, with its cobblestoned streets, medieval facades, and an array of wonderfully handcrafted gifts

Head south in Saranda - This quintessential coastal city beams under the rays of endless sun and its reflection from its crystal-clear turquoise waters. Located on the Ionian coast, the city has many of its own wonderful beaches.. Drive Only a few kilometers away to the ancient city of Butrint, one of the most well-preserved in the Balkans and one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Within the National Park of Butrint, you will find the ruins of the Greek and Roman past, including a functional open theater.

Day 3: Sarande - Albanian Riviera - Borsh -Tirane

Head through the Albanian Riviera and take a hike to Borsh castle, Situated at about 500 meters above sea level it offers great views of the mountains and Ionian coast. A much-desired object by Albania’s many occupiers throughout the ages, the ancient Borsh Castle, which also hosts the only mosque of the Riviera, will give you the chance to enjoy stunning panoramas as you immerse yourself in its rich history. 

Head North to Porto Palermo Castle which is known as the crown jewel of the Albanian Riviera! Built on the hill of an island, connected to the shore via a narrow man-made strip of land. The castle was built in 1814 at the request of Ali Pashë Tepelena, after the destruction of Justinian’s castle.Take your time to swim at the Beach close to the castle and transfer to Tirana. 

On the way to Tirana we can plan a visit to Apollonia ( You can talk with your tour leader 1 day before if you would like to plan this visit )
