This complete full-day tour allows you to experience many of the breathtaking Nicaragua stops in one day. You will travel from Managua to several places of interest on your way to the lush Masaya Volcano National Park, established in 1979 as the first national park in the country. 54 square kilometers of the park include two volcanoes, Nindirí and Masaya. Admire the majestic crater Santiago, one of the largest in the world, from the Masaya volcanic complex at an elevation of 2,083 feet (635 M). After enjoying the National Park, visit the crafts market of Masaya. The journey continues in Granada, a permanent city in the original settlement. Known as the oldest city in America, it is held on the same grounds of its original foundation built in 1524 by the Spanish captain Francisco Hernandez de Cordoba. Although the city was overwhelmed by pirates, destroyed during civil wars and set on fire by US filibuster William Walker in 1856, Granada is still today one of the most beautiful cities in Nicaragua. You can visit interesting places and appreciate the beautiful architecture of the city. You will enjoy a traditional lunch before finishing the tour with a boat trip to the beautiful islands of Lake Nicaragua and visit and at the end way back to Managua to visit the Mirador de Catarina, offering stunning views of Lake Apoyo and the surrounding area, and a place to take panoramic pictures without forgetting that you can find the best crafts in the neighboring town of San Juan de Oriente.
