Itinerary
Day 1

 

In the morning drive west from Krakow to Czestochowa.  Visit to the magnificent fourteenth century Monastery of Our Lady of Czestochowa at Jasna Gora, the biggest Marian Shrine of Poland, the home of the Black Madonna icon. 

Celebrate mass at the Pauline Monastery and see the priceless treasures contained within, including the Miraculous Icon.  Afterwards, drive through the white rocky limestone trail adorned with castles. You will see the Hercules Mace Rock, which is a 30 meters tall limestone rock situated in Ojców National Park. See the church built on the water and enjoy dinner at a fabulous restaurant on the journey back to Krakow.

Day 2

 

Go to Divine Mercy Shrine and celebrate Mass there. The sanctuary houses the miraculous image of Merciful Jesus and the relics of Sister Faustina. John Paul II was said to be the driving force behind the worship of the Lord's Mercy within its center, the Lagiewniki Sanctuary by the worldwide Catholic movement.

Leave after lunch to Wadowice - the birthplace of st. John Paul II.

Dinner.
