Itinerary
Day 1: Food tour & cooking class in the capital

Meet Ljubljana, a cosy, relaxed capital that will charm you straight away! Spend your day exploring the city’s main sights and attractions on a walking food tour through the old town, all the while stopping for delicious tastes of rich Slovenian traditional cuisine. Enjoy a leisurely boat ride on Ljubljanica River, where you will be able to see why this is considered one of the greenest capitals in Europe. Try your own cooking skill as you tackle traditional Slovenian recipes by yourself under local guidance at a cooking class or just help out enough to feel very much accomplished when you are trying out the delicacies that came from under your own two hands.

Day 2: Traditions of the Alps

The Slovenian Alps are something everyone raves about. We will head out early in the morning to the most famous attraction in Slovenia - Lake Bled and enjoy a morning boat ride to the picturesque island in the middle. The cafe on the island specialised in the most traditional Slovenian pastry - potica, which you will get to try and learn more about. The afternoon will be reserved for gorgeous Lake Bohinj, famous for its cow cheese, and we will make sure you get to try some!

Day 3: Caves & local food tasting

Another day, another must-see! We are off to Postojna Cave, the queen of caves, where a small electric train will take you underground for a unique experience. The dripstones and the halls of this cave are so spectacular that any description fails to do them justice. A short drive away from Postojna, we will pass by Predjama Castle as well, a unique structure with mysterious stories and a wonderful photo-stop. We will feast on a traditional lunch in Vipava, a valley famous for its wine making traditions and stop at a local winemaker’s to taste some of those fine wines.

IMPORTANT:

The temperature in the cave is 10C, so make sure you are dressed properly.
