Day 1
After getting organised at Fraser Dingo HQ in the morning, we will head to the barge which leaves at 9:00am to the beautiful Fraser Island! First stop at CENTRAL STATION - THE HEART OF FRASER ISLAND. Then 4WD across the Island & up 75 MILE BEACH to HAPPY VALLEY for a BBQ lunch, unpack gear & set up camp. After lunch, we visit ELI CREEK + MAHENO SHIPWRECK + PINNACLES or LAKE GARRAWONGERRA depending on tide! We then return to the campsite for an AFTERNOON RELAX OR DRINK, SUNSET WALK, etc. DINNER is at 7:00pm, with a noise curfew by 10:30pm to be in great shape for DAY 2!
Day 2
Share a CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST before heading to LAKE WABBY or GARRAWONGERRA (depending on tides). At about 1200-1230pm it's time for LUNCH, and then it's off to the stunning LAKE McKENZIE. At 3:30pm it's time to enjoy the 4WD track heading back to the barge at KINGFISHER RESORT. The barge LEAVES THE ISLAND at 5:00pm. We are BACK AT FRASER DINGO HQ by 6:00 - 6:30pm to collect your vehicle or drop off back to hostel.
