Explore the beaches and islands of Riochr("39")s "Green Coast" as we take you from the urban setting of Rio de Janeiro to the wonderful island setting of Ilha Grande (please note that this is an unguided tour and you will mostly be exploring on your own).
Ilha Grande is one of the most pristine remnants of Brazilchr("39")s Atlantic rainforest, one of the richest ecosystems in the world, and a hotspot for biodiversity and conservation. It holds some of the largest remaining populations of many endangered species. The seas around the island, which are also protected, feature a unique convergence of tropical, subtropical, and temperate-zone marine life, and maybe the only waters in the world where it is possible to see corals and tropical fish along with Magellanic penguins and Southern right whales.

Day 1: Arrival to Ilha Grande
The easy transfer will pick you up in the morning and will take you to the port to board the boat to Ilha Grande.
Day 2-3: Lopes Mendes Beach by Boat
No planned activities. Enjoy an open day to explore the island. We do recommend going to Lopes Mendes Beach by boat. Ilha Grande is a densely vegetated rainforest and you have the option of going trekking, mountain biking, canoeing, scuba diving, etc.
Day 4: Back to Rio de Janeiro
Head back to Rio de Janeiro. Take the boat from Marina of Aquarius Hostel at 13:00 pm to Jacarei where the mini-bus-easy-transfer will be waiting to collect you and take you back to your hotel in Rio.
