Day 2: Jerusalem, Israel

Jerusalem Holy City Experience (B) Today, you will take part in a Holy City Tour. Starting from Jaffa Gate of the Old City, we'll step back into time and walk through the different Quarters of the Old City. Taking in the indescribable energy that every corner presents, we'll visit the sites most holy to all three religions. To Jews, King David's Tomb and the Western (Wailing) Wall, the last remains of the Jewish Temple which stood here thousands of years ago. To Muslims, the site where the Prophet Mohammed ascended to heaven, the Dome of the Rock, as well as the beautiful Al Aqsa Mosque. And to Christians, the Via Dolorosa along which Christ walked with his own cross to his crucifixion, the room of the last supper, as well as venturing inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre! Biblical stories will be put into context as you stand in the place where they took place whilst learning about the 5 Pillars of Islam, the foundation of the Jewish nation and the discovery of the True Cross, to name a few.Today, you will enjoy a Jerusalem city tour and will explore one of the oldest cities in the world visiting the sites most holy to all three religions.

Day 3: Jerusalem, Israel

Masada Sunrise, Ein Gedi and Dead Sea Experience (B) Today, you will be leave early in the morning at 3:00 hrs and you'll drive east through the Judean Desert, all the way to the foot of Masada. As you begin to climb up the Snake Path, the sun will emerge in the east over the mountains. You'll reach the top just in time to relax in front of the stunning desert landscape below, and the red sun shimmering off the still waters of the Dead Sea. Once you've had your fill of the wonderful views, you'll spend some time exploring the archaeological ruins of a castle built in the year 30 BCE by King Herod, and also the place where Jewish rebels famously decided to take their own lives rather than to fall into the hands of the advancing Roman armies. After you descend the same path, you will find the bus waiting for you, ready to continue the day's adventures. We will drive to Ein Gedi, a desert oasis where you can take a short hike, where you’ll likely encounter mountain goats and other creatures among the vegetation. The nature reserve includes a stream of cool running water, leading to various pools and refreshing springs, where you are welcome to bathe on hot days. The last part of the tour is spent at the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea. Enjoy the salty waters and rejuvenating therapeutic mud, floating and relaxing, before we return to Jerusalem.Today, you will witness the sunset from the ancient fortress of Masada, explore the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve and float in the Dead Sea, all in the same tour.
