Itinerary
Day 1 Amman - Explore Petra - Little Petra - Wadi Rum
  • Pick up from your hotel accommodation in Amman at 8 a.m
  • Get the chance to explore  the lost city “Petra” the world wonder, which is Jordan’s most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction. It is a vast, unique city, carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataeans, an industrious Arab people who settled here more than 2000 years ago, turning it into an important junction for the silk, spice and other trade routes that linked China, India and southern Arabia with Egypt, Syria, Greece and Rome. You will take a horseback ride through the Siq, the only access to this city. Visit the Treasury, the Roman Theater, the Royal Tombs, the Court, Qaser Al Bint and the Church.
  • We will then explore Little Petra, first you see the big cistern (called Bier El Arayes by locals), then the Siq El Bard (cool canyon – because it is mostly shaded) which has most facades cisterns. It is very interesting to see how they crave water channels through the rock to collect rainwater to the bottom of the mountain; this technique is referred to as harvesting nowadays.
  • Afterwards we will drive towards Wadi Rum Also known as the “Valley of the Moon”, it was here that Prince Faisal Bin Hussein and T. E. Lawrence set up their headquarters during the Arab Revolt against the Ottomans during the First World War. Their exploits are intimately linked to history. Many activities are possible in this exceptional desert and you will meet first of all the Bedouins of the desert who have preserved their t traditional way of life. A monolithic rock labyrinth stretches from the ground to a height of 1,750 meters, creating an ideal terrain for the most experienced climbers. Hikers will enjoy the tranquility of open spaces; explore the canyons and get the chance to discover the 4,000-year-old rock drawings and other wondrous treasures of this vast desert, 4×4 trips.
  • Enjoy a mouthwatering Bedouin dinner.
  • Overnight at your camp in Wadi Rum.
Day 2 Wadi Rum - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Dead Sea - Amman
  • Enjoy your breakfast at your camp in Wadi Rum.
  • We will head to Madaba, “the City of Mosaics.” The city, best known for its spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, is home to the famous 6th century mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land.
  • Proceed to historic Mount Nebo, one of the most revered holy sites of Jordan and the place where Moses was buried. A small Byzantine church was built there by early Christians.
  • Drive towards the Dead Sea – one of the lowest points on earth 400 meters below sea level. The uniqueness of the Dead Sea has been known very long time ago. It’s the only place in the world with the unique combination of the spa benefits: peculiar sun radiation (ultra-violet filtered), enriched oxygen atmosphere, mineral-rich salt sea, thermo-mineral springs, and mineral-rich mud.
  • Drop off at your hotel accommodation in Amman.
