Pokhara, also known as ‘the city of lakes is located in the Kaski district in the western region of Nepal. The city lies some 200 kilometers away from Kathmandu city. Pokhara is a must-see in Nepal and so far one of the most popular tourist destinations in the nation. This five days long tour of Ace the Himalaya will take you to Pokhara via Kathmandu, after a halfday tour of Kathmandu city. In Pokhara, you’ll get to visit Sarangkot for the spectacular view of sunrise and mountains. Then, this tour will take you to Bindhabasini Temple, Davis Fall, Gupteshwor Cave, Phewa Lake, Barahi Temple, Seti Gorge and Tibetan Refugee Camps

Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu (1,400 m/4,593 ft). Pre-trip meeting and Guided sightseeing

Our airport representative will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in a private tourist vehicle. We will have a well-managed Guided Tour around Kathmandu on the same day, an experienced city guide and vehicle will be provided. You will be visiting the following places:

 

Kathmandu Durbar Square (World Heritage Site)

 

This complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built between the 12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of the ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu. An intriguing piece here is the 17th- century stone inscription set into the wall of the palace with writings in 15 languages. The Durbar Square is the social, religious and urban focal point of the city. There are also three museums inside the palace building.

 

Swoyambhunath Stupa - The Monkey Temple (World Heritage Site)

 

Watches over the valley from the top of a hillock on its western side. The huge stupa is one of the holiest Buddhists sites in Nepal and its establishment is linked to the creation of the Kathmandu Valley out of a primordial lake. Swoyambhu is also known as Samhengu and the Monkey temple

Day 2 Kathmandu – Pokhara (900 m/2,953 ft) drive by Tourist vehicle. 6 to 7 hours

Transfer from Kathmandu to Pokhara is 200 Km/ 6 - 7 hours drive on a private vehicle. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel.

 

We woke up early today to catch a glimpse of the spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas. Weather permitting, the seemly endless chain of mountains appears glossy in the north, while the entire Kathmandu valley can be clearly seen towards the west. After we have breakfast we head to Pokhara on a tourist bus, van or car, depending on the size of the group. 

Day 3 Sightseeing in Pokhara

Early in the morning, about 45 minute's drive and 25 minute's hike take us to the top of Sarangkot to see the best sunrise and close views of many mountains like Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail, including views of the beautiful Pokhara Valley and Phewa Lake. After we have some breakfast at Sarangkot, it’s a 15-minute walk down and 45 minute drive to the hotel in Pokhara.

 

Return to the Hotel for breakfast.

Day 4 Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu Drive back by Tourist vehicle.​

Today, depart Pokhara and transfer to Kathmandu; 200 Km, 6 hours drive. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.

 

After returning to Kathmandu, you have the afternoon and the evening to stroll along the streets of Kathmandu for some last-minute shopping. There is a farewell dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances. You have the option to extend your trip to continue with a rafting adventure, Kathmandu valley shopping tour, mountain biking, and other activitie

Day 5 Transfer to the international airport for your final departure

The trip concludes - our airport representative will drop you at the international airport in Kathmandu for your flight departure from Nepal.
