Itinerary
Day 1: Magamba rain forest

Walk through Magamba rain forest a home to black and white colobus monkeys, visit an old trench dug by the German during World War 1, the guide will provide an explanation of German and British Colonial history. Proceed on walking through the rainforest of Magamba where you take public transport to Rangwi Catholic mission for dinner and overnight FB.

Day 2: walk through traditional villages 

After breakfast walk through traditional villages and learn about typical traditional life style of Washambaa, forests, pottery women group to Mtae a World view point with spectacular views overlooking Maasai plains, Mkomazi game reserve, Tsavo west in Kenya and also on clear days Kilimanjaro can be seen on the horizon, a good point for sun rise and sunset and overnight in Magumba view point lodge. FB

Day 3: Drive from Mtae to — Mazumbai Forest 

After breakfast in Mtae drive to Sakharani Mission and visit one of the vine yard and learn how they make the local grape wine. Then continue driving to Herkulu village where the special highlights are the tea farms & the tea factory. Learn on how local people producing and taking care of the tea plantations and get to know how tea is processed and made. After this, your drive will lead you to Mazumbai forest Hostel for overnight. FB

Day 4: Mazumbai rainforest - Mazumbai/Lushoto

A full day hike in Mazumbai rainforest, untouched forest which can fulfill your need of seeing Primary forest which remains all over Western Usambara Mountains. A home to black and white colobus monkeys, birds, flowers and lots of chameleon’s butterflies and many more insects. Overnight at Mazumbai rest house. FB

Option. Day 4: With private transport you can decide to drive from Mazumbai and stay overnight in Lushoto. End of our service
