Rovaniemi Winter Experience

Day 1 ARRIVAL TO ROVANIEMI

Welcome to Finland – the Land of a thousand lakes.

Arrival in Rovaniemi, the capital of the Finnish Lapland. Lapland is as close as reality gets to those who dream of a winter wonderland. Contrasts are a key factor in the allure of Lapland where 24-hour sunlight in the summer replaces the dark winter days. The hustle and bustle of towns and ski resorts is just minutes away from the peace and quiet of the wilderness.

Day 2 HUSKY SAFARI & SANTA CLAUS VILLAGE AND AURORA EVENING

Breakfast in the hotel.

Start the day with immediately immersing you into the magic of Lapland. First stop today is the Santa Claus Village located on the Arctic Circle.

Enjoy Lapland’s beautiful nature sitting in a dog sled! You can relax and let your senses rest in the calming scenery and surrounding silence while the guide is driving the husky team.

After the safari you can warm up by an open fire in our yard and also spend time in the park meeting the other dogs. Duration of driving about 20 min.

You can also visit the Santa's post office to send a letter to yourself or a loved one, with the official stamp of Santa. Wander around the various souvenir shops and enjoy the magic

atmosphere in the village.

Aurora Evening - get ready for another included activity!

Did you know that in Finland we call the Northern Lights as The Fire of  the Fox? Enjoy the fresh winter air and a chance to see the Northern Lights flicker in the sky. We take you by car to the nearby wilderness where we will have the best view on the sky. During the evening you will learn about the arctic nature and enjoy stories about the culture and history of the local people. You will have a chance to try snowshoes around the fireplace. We will also have a break to enjoy some hot beverages and we get to grill some marshmallow on the

campfire. At the end of our excursion we return to the city by bus - hopefully with rested and relaxed minds. Even if we can’t guarantee the Northern Lights, this program is excellent for people who wish to

enjoy the great outdoor polar night

Day 3 ROVANIEMI – FREE DAY FOR OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

Breakfast in the hotel.

Free day to enjoy Rovaniemi and its surroundings as you desire! Why not to discover the magnificent Arktikum museum and learn about the Sami, original people of Lapland.

Another option is to enjoy one of the many activities offered in the area,such as Husky safari,snowshoes, ice-fishing experiences or northernlights hunts in the evening.

You can go shopping in town or take a walk along the banks of the Ounasjoki River, to enjoy the winter landscapes of Lapland.

Do not hesitate to ask your tour escort for an advice, he/she is there to make sure you enjoy Lapland to the fullest.

Day 4 EQUICK SPIN SNOWMOBILE

Breakfast in the hotel.

We will start the day with some adrenaline & speed, taking part  to and exciting snowmobile safari. This snowmobile adventure  offers fantastic opportunity to learn how to master the art of  driving a snowmobile. During the safari we stop for a break to  enjoy hot drinks and the silence of the wilderness.

Day 5 FAREWELL

Breakfast in the hotel.

Enjoy the last moments in this magical place.

Transfer on your own to the airport (Private transfer can be prebooked in advance).
