Itinerary
Day 1 Full Itinerary of the Sacred Valley tour in Peru!

After being picked up from your accommodation in Cusco city at 8:00 am, we will travel through the highlands around Cusco on our way to the Sacred Valley. The first stop is at the Alpaca farm, home to llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos. The tour guide will explain the differences and importance of these South-American camelids. We will continue to Taray viewpoint, an observation platform that offers breathtaking vistas of the Sacred Valley, the Urubamba river, the farming lands, and the Peruvian Andes.

The next stop is at the archaeological site of Pisac, an old Inca village erected on top of the mountain. You will witness magnificent tombs, temples, and houses enclosed by gigantic walls. There are also agricultural terraces here. After touring, you will get in the car and go to Pisac to bargain in the handicraft market. This market is particularly popular because the local craftspeople manufacture their goods and sell them directly to tourists.

From Pisac, you will travel for 1 hour to Urubamba, where you will have lunch at a local restaurant to enjoy a variety of cuisine made with fresh ingredients sourced from the surrounding area. The restaurant provides buffet style with several options.

After indulging in a mouthwatering lunch, you will be driven to the lovely village of Ollantaytambo, known as the "Last living Inca City," because it still has its original Inca streets, and people walk on them today. Explore the well-guarded Inca citadel constructed to defend the Inca people from potential attackers. The town of Ollantaytambo serves as the gateway to Machu Picchu.

The last place to visit is Chinchero, a royal estate and ceremonial center during the Inca Empire. It is said to have been a favorite of the 10th Inca King, Tupac Inca Yupanqui. During the visit to Chinchero, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the town, visit the Inca ruins and colonial church, and learn about the traditional weaving techniques and natural dyes used by the local artisans. The tour will end in the late afternoon, and visitors will be returned to their hotel in Cusco around 6:00 pm.
