Day 1: Dakar – Wassadou (Gate of Niokolo Koba) --- (590 km)
Early morning, take a route through the dense savannah to Niokolo Koba National Park. Check at the hotel, Wassadou Hotel on a bank of the Gambia River. There will be a boat trip to observe the hippopotamus colonies (if the water level allows) or a guided walk along the river to watch the Local flora and Fauna such as Monkeys, birds, varans among others. Day 2: Wassadou – Niokolo Koba – Kedougou ---- (300 km)
Rise for a guided game drive at Niokolo Koba Park. Great opportunity to encounter the warthogs, monkeys, antelopes, many species of birds and unusually panthers and lions. After the game drive and picnic lunch, you will drive to Mako for a walk along the bank o Gambia River in search of hippos before continuing to Kedougou. Accommodation: Hotel Camp Dar Salam, Relais de Kedougou, Les Cocotiers or similar. Meal plan: Breakfast
Day 3: Kedougou – Dindefello – Bassari Hills – Tambacounda ---- (350 km)
Spend the day in the discovery of the Bedik ethnic group. Visit the traditional village of Bediks Lwol perched on the heights. Trek to Peulh village of Dindefelo. At your details upon, walk through the path that will surprise you with its exuberance and small streams to reach the waterfall. Its’ cascades from a height of 80m in a basin that gives a chance for swimming. Picnic at the foot of the waterfall. At late noon leave with regrets the freshness of the place to join Tambacounda. Accommodation: hotel Relais de Tamba, Hotel le Malahika or similar. Meal plan: Breakfast
Day 4: Tambacounda – Lompoul Desert ---- (465 km)
After breakfast, take a drive to Lompoul, in the desert of Senegal. Enjoy a camel ride to the top of the sand dunes from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of coastline. Spend the night in comfortable tents and feel like nomads observing the moon or stars. Accommodation: Ecolodge de Lompoul, Camp du Desert or similar. Meal plan: Breakfast
Day 5: Lompoul Desert – Dakar ---- (215 km)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Dakar, Saly or to airport. End of our services!
