Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Dakar

On arrival, meet with our esteemed guide who will help you finish all the formalities and transfer you to the place of accommodation. Check-in to the hotel and have an orientation about the safari with your guide. Place of accommodation: Pullman Hotel or similar Meal plan: Breakfast.

Day 2: Dakar and Goree Island 

After breakfast today you will you will visit Dakar. Shop around the Tilen market, famous for a variety of medicinal herbs and traditional healers. Continue at the National Art Gallery and picturesque residential district of Medina. Noontime visits the UNESCO- world heritage site of Goree Island which houses “The Door of No Return”. Take a trip to the ethnographic museum and have a lecture by the curator on the history of Goree Island. Place of accommodation: Pullman Hotel or similar Meal(s) Included: Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 3: Dakar – Pink Lake– St Louis 

Wake up for a drive to St Louis via the natural phenomenon Pink Lake. Watch to the workers harvesting salt with a visit to the Fulani village where the village king will warmly welcome you. Afterwards, leave for St Louis which is approximately 165 miles off Dakar. Have fun at the opening night at the Jazz Festival. Dinner and overnight in Mermoz St Louis Hotel. Day 4: St Louis Jazz Festival

Tour Djoudj National Park, one of the most important bird sanctuaries in the world. The park is a paradise for bird enthusiasts and is located at the major migratory route. You will see world greatest concentrated white pelicans and flamingo which mark up 10,000 each species. In the evening watch world-renowned Jazz performers at the festival. Day 5: St Louis and Vicinity 

The city of St Louis is a Senegal former French colonial capital. Walk down the narrow street flanked by houses with carved balconies and verandas which is a good reminder of the occupation of the French colonists. In the evening attend the Jazz festival with performers of Senegal Kora players and vocalists. Place of accommodation: Mermoz St Louis Hotel or similar Meal(s) Included: Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 6: St Louis Jazz Festival 

Continue touring the charming UNESCO world heritage site and afterwards watch the closing performers of Jazz Festival. Dinner and overnight Mermoz St Louis Hotel. Place of accommodation: Mermoz St Louis Hotel or similar Meal(s) Included: Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 7: St Louis – Touba – Dakar 

After breakfast at the hotel, back to Dakar with a stop in Touba for a visit at the holy city including the Grand Mosque, Library, and the Mouride Community. Dinner and overnight at Mermoz St Louis Hotel. Place of accommodation: Pullman Hotel or similar Meal(s) Included: Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 8: Dakar – Depart

Day at leisure until you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast.
