Itinerary
Day 1: ARRIVAL SHANGHAI

Upon your arrival at Shanghai airport or Shanghai railway station, you will be met by an English speaking guide who accompanies you to your transfer to the city. The one-hour private transfer will take you directly to your hotel in Shanghai. If you feel tired after the journey, you can relax and make use of all available services at the hotel. But if you are anxious to explore this awesome city, stroll down its charming streets and indulge into its unique vibe. Overnight in Shanghai. 

Day 2: SHANGHAI

After breakfast at the hotel, we will pick you up at about 8:30 at hotel´s lobby for our full-day Shanghai sightseeing tour. We will start with a visit to Yu Garden, a classical garden ranking among the must-see attractions in Shanghai. Dated back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and was owned by a government officer named Pan Yunduan, built for his parents as a place for them to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age. On the periphery of Yu Garden is the old bazaar, where visitors can buy all kinds of souvenirs like foods, craftworks, and jewels. Then, we will drive to Jade Buddha Temple. This old temple was built in 1882, to keep two jade Buddha statues which had been brought from Burma by a monk named Huigen. The temple was destroyed during the revolution that overthrew the Qing Dynasty. Fortunately, the statues were saved and a new temple was built on the present site in 1928. After lunch at the local restaurant (incl.), we will visit Nanjing Road and the Bund. The 5.5-km-long Nanjing Road is China's premier shopping street, which starts at the Bund in the east and ends in the west at the junction of Jing'an Temple and West Yan'an Street. Today it is a must-see metropolitan destination attracting thousands of fashionseeking shoppers from all over the world. The Bund is a famous waterfront on the west bank of Huangpu River and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai. Here, the charm of Shanghai as a bustling metropolis combining the century-old history and flourishing future is fully presented, making the Bund Shanghai a must-see attraction. You will be back at the hotel in the late afternoon at approx. 18:30. Overnight in Shanghai. 

Day 3: SHANGHAI

Wake up to breakfast at the hotel and enjoy the full day at leisure in the city. You can set out to visit the most interesting sites, go shopping or simply relax at the hotel and enjoy the available services. Alternatively, you can book one of our optional tours (not included): Zhujiajiao Water Town full-day excursion: starting at 9:00 with the pick-up at your hotel. Zhujiajia Water Town, is well-known throughout the country, with a history of more than 1,700 years. Covering an area of 47 square kilometres, the little fan-shaped town, being regarded as Shanghai's Venice, glimmers like a bright pearl in the landscape of lakes and mountains. Zhujiajiao Ancient Water Town is the best-preserved among the four ancient towns in Shanghai. After lunch at a local restaurant continue with a 30 minutes cruise by featured sculling wooden boat. Our tour ends at approx.17:00. Suzhou full-day excursion: pick up at 8:00 at your hotel. Visit Humble Administrator’s Garden which was originally built in 1509 during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It was initially a private garden of a former government servant named Wang Xianchen for his life after retirement. He thought that was a simple life led by a humble man like him, hence the name of the garden. Next, we will drive to Lingering Garden. Originally a classical private garden, Lingering Garden is one of the four most famous gardens in China. Possessing a typical Qing style, it is well-known for the exquisite beauty of its magnificent halls, and the various sizes, shapes, and colours of the buildings. After lunch at local restaurant visit Panmen City Gate, which was first built during the Wu Kingdom of Spring and Autumn Period (770BC-476BC) and it is the only well preserved water-and-land city gate in the world now. Next, drive to Xinshiqiao Wharf to take a 45-minute cruise of the Suzhou Grand Canal. The tour ends at approx. 18:00.Tongli Water Town full-day excursion: pick up at 8:00 at your hotel. Visit Tongli Water Town. Originally named Futu (meaning a rich land), Tongli is an age-old but very well preserved water town with a history of more than 1,000 years. On the eastern shore of Taihu Lake, about 18 kilometres from Suzhou City. It is a really wonderful travel destination for its profound cultural background and achievement. After lunch at a local restaurant continue with a 30 minutes cruise by featured sculling wooden boat. Tour ends at approx. 18:00. Overnight in Shanghai.

Day 4: DEPARTURE SHANGHAI

After breakfast at the hotel, check-out and at the agreed time you will be transferred to the Shanghai airport or Shanghai railway station to continue with your travel arrangements.
