Day 1: Durban St Lucia, Zulu Nyala Game Reserve
Departing Durban, we drive through sugar cane fields and the town of KwaDukuza place of the lost person - due to the labyrinth of traditional huts in the area. We traverse large eucalyptus plantations en-route to St Lucia - the gateway to the iSimangaliso Wetland Park proclaimed a World Heritage site in 1999. We join a boat cruise on the estuary to view a variety of bird species, hippo pods and crocodiles lazing on warm sandy banks. After our cruise, we continue to the Zulu Nyala Private Game Reserve, where we settle in and get the first glimpse of the wildlife. In the afternoon, we board an open 4x4 safari vehicle for a game drive.
Day 2: Zulu Nyala Game Reserve Durban
After breakfast, we set off to Hluhluwe Game Reserve, KwaZulu Natals premier game reserve, home to the Big 5 and many other wildlife species. We spend the morning safari game driving in our vehicle through one of South Africas oldest and well-run reserves famous for saving the rhino from extinction. After our regarded game drive, we retrace our steps through towering Eucalyptus forests, Sugar Cane Fields, to one of Africas largest commercial ports, Durban where we end our tour.
