Day 1 Arrive at Luleå & Try the Interesting Treehotel

Welcome to take our Sweden private tour with daily departure, which can be tailored to meet your individual interests. You will enjoy a more personalized experience as the trip is only for your private party, with no other people. 

Upon your arrival at the coastal city of Luleå, we will pick you up and transfer you to check in the hotel perched among the trees of Harads’s forests, which is about an hour's drive from Luleå Airport. The hotel is very unique which blends cutting-edge architecture and design. All rooms offer views of Lule River valley, tall pine forests, surrounding countryside and if you're lucky, the northern lights. After arrival, we will arrange you a short guided tour around the Treehotel and later a 2-hour TreeSauna.

Day 2 Meet a Sami Eriksson Family & Visit the Arctic Circle

After breakfast, we will continue the Aurora tour to the village of Flakaberg located about 80 kilometers (50 miles) from Harads and pay a visit to the home of Sami Eriksson, a reindeer herder. There we will tour around the reindeer farm, listen to the stories about native lifestyle, learn about the Sami culture and enjoy a tasty lunch. Before going back to the hotel, we will also go to visit Arctic Circle Monument.

Day 3 Take Snowmobile Safari to Experience the Wilderness of Swedish Lapland

After breakfast, we will go to attend a snowmobile safari tour. You will be provided with thermal equipment and safety training. Then we will experience the wild forest landscape of Swedish Lapland on snowmobile.

Day 4 Take Train from Luleå to Kiruna & Stay at ICEHOTEL

Today starts with a train ride from Luleå to Kiruna. We will send you to the train station. Upon arrival at Kiruna, you will be transferred to Jukkasjärvi and check in the world-famous ICEHOTEL. The Icehotel features rooms entirely made out of sculptured ice from neighboring Torne River and is beautifully decorated with hand-carved ice furnishings by international artists. It's an incredible and totally unusual experience for you to spend one night on the bed of ice. The room will hold a temperature between -5 to -8°C (17.5 - 20 ℉) and there are thick mattress, thermal sleeping bags and reindeer hides to make you feel comfortable. In the morning, take the opportunity to try sauna and enjoy a tasty breakfast served by the hotel.

Day 5 Ice Sculpting & Dogsledding Adventure

In the morning, enjoy an in-depth visit to the magical world of ice and take part in an ice sculpting class. There you will learn how to work with the ice and how to use these tools to create a beautiful ice artwork of your own. In the afternoon, we will go for an exciting Dogsledding adventure through the snow-covered primitive forest. The tour begins with an introduction to equipment and safety tips. You will also get to know the husky dogs and their personalities, enjoy the tranquility and the sound of the dogs' paws against the snow while you are driving deeper into the woods. The whole adventure will last for about 1 hour and we will stop to have a warm drink before returning back to the Icehotel.

Day 6 Departure from Kiruna & Airport See-off

After breakfast, we will escort you to the Kiruna Airport and see you off there. If you want to experience more outdoor activities at Lapland area such as reindeer sled excursions, ice fishing and camping, just tell us and we will well arrange it for you.
