Day 1 Full Day tour In Siem Reap
Your local private Tuk Tuk driver(No English Speaking tour guide) will pick you up at your hotel to begin your tour by visiting the school of the Chantiers Ecoles. Since 1992, this artisan group who helps to reinsert into the workforce young rural Khmer has become a powerful developing tool for the surrounding villages. Les Artisans d'Angkor is sponsored by the European program REPLIC and is also supported by the government of Cambodia. See the work of the trainees who learn the art of stone carving, wood ornamental sculpture, the making of small furniture, the art of lacquer and polychromy. Observe the various training methods and view completed projects.
Drive from Siem Reap to the district of Puok to the Silk Farm. Learn the different stages of the complex process of producing handmade silk, including the growing of the mulberry trees, silk worm breeding, and training in the ancient craft of silk dyeing and weaving. Your morning tour will finish at 11:30AM with a hotel drop off.
In the afternoon you will have other tour seat in coach tour. You will meet your English-speaking guide(join tour) at your hotel at between 2:00 pm – 2:30 pm and drive to the quiet fishing village of Kompong Phluk and board with seat in coach tour (shearing tour)a shared boat. Visit the serene floating village and discover the centuries-old lifestyle of the lake's inhabitants. Cruise on the Tonlesap Lake and enjoy the natural splendor of the area. After a peaceful day on the lake, return to the port and drive back to Siem Reap Town. Explore not only the biggest lake in South East Asia with its beautiful scenery, but also the culture of the local people who live on and off the water.
Relax for a bit on the way back and then hop-off for a short visit to the village of Khmer with its traditional
Khmer houses. Arrive back at the city around 6:30 PM. at this time the driver will drop you off at the restaurent to watch a traditional Apsara dance show to experience an authentic folk art from Cambodia.
Embark on a unique cultural journey through Hindu and Buddhist mythologies that believe Apsaras are beautiful female creatures sent from heaven to enchant with their soft but mesmerizing dance moves. The hand gestures are a significant part of the dance, with each gesture signifying something different.
Feast on a selection of Khmer food from the buffet dinner during the show (BBQ, Khmer Cousin, dessert and water were set in placed). Sample typical fare, such as a classic Amok Cambodian curry and Khmer BBQ. International dishes are also available. The TukTuk driver hav been arranged for your returning back to your accommodation at the end of an amazing night.
