Day 1: Santiago – Casablanca Valley – Viña del mar
Departure from your hotel in Santiago, (private service with bilingual driver-guide), along the picturesque Chilean countryside towards one of Chile’s most important wine areas, the Casablanca Valley, producing some of South America’s finest wines.
Visit and wine tasting in one of these vineyards: Bodegas Re, a boutique vineyard with a unique concept based on Re-creating, Re-inventing and Re-vealing ancestral wines produced by this long wine- tradition family. Casas Del Bosque, with its 235 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Syrah vines. Viña Indómita, where the spirit of the vineyard lives in every corner of his imposing mansion with a panoramic view over the Valley and its 2500 oak barrels where the best Cabernet Sauvignon-Carmenère, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc produce.
Proceed 41km southeast by a beautiful tree-lined highway up to arrival at Viña del Mar, overlooking the blue restless Pacific. Viña also now as the “Garden City”, due to its beautiful parks, original suburban architectural style, busy beaches and coastal avenues dotted with modern buildings, premium hotels, casino and gourmet restaurants. Panoramic tour including the Plaza Vergara main square, Libertad bridge, over the Marga creek, Libertad avenue, shaded by huge maple trees, Fonck Archaeological museum, with an interesting collection of Easter Island objects, continuing by a coastal road past Las Salinas towards up market Reñaca and Concón beaches. Returning to Viña, view on the Municipal gambling casino, Perú Avenue promenade, famed Quinta Vergara and upscale Sporting Club.
Overnight today will be in a quaint boutique hotel in Valparaiso.
Day 2: Valparaíso – Santiago City or Santiago Airport
Early morning visit to the port of Valparaíso, (private service with bilingual driver-guide), declared Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO,built on hills on the coast of a hectic bay.The true attraction of Valparaiso are the hills that divide the city in two levels with its characteristic and colorful buildings hanging from the hills and cliffs in an impressive layout of streets, side streets and alleys.
This visit to Valparaíso will be followed by a transfer either to the airport in Santiago, (112, 5 km), for connection flight to another destination in Chile, or to a hotel in Santiago.
