Day 1 Tromso

Arrival in Tromsö. Arrival transfer from the airport to the Accommodation.

Day 2 Tromso​

Breakfast - buffet. Tromso is a one of the world’s largest cities North of the Arctic Circle and a city, where modern urban life and breath-taking arctic nature go hand in hand. During the morning city tour we get acquainted with the world’s northernmost Botanical gardens and enjoy the views of the mountains to the east and south. You continue with a visit Tromso University Museum where we learn fascinating facts on nature and culture in northern Norway and the indigenous Sami people. Following that, we continue around the island, passing Lake Prestvatn with the Meteorological Institute and cross the bridge to the Arctic Cathedral for a visit to this masterpiece with a monumental stained-glass window. In the evening you go to the Aurora Camp where you are equipped with thermal overalls and boots to keep us nice and warm all evening. 300 friendly Alaskan huskies are waiting to greet you and enjoy some cuddles. You enjoy a traditional Norwegian dinner and wait for the Northern Light to appear in the sky

Day 3 Tromso - Alta

Buffet breakfast. Today you continue to Alta. The distance between Tromso and Alta is about 300 km. The trip takes around 8 hours and includes two ferry rides and a lunch break. The trip take you through the most stunning mountain landscapes and is something to remember for a long time. You arrive late afternoon in Alta and check in at the accommodation. The evening offers an optional Northern Lights tour. You visit the family owned Sorrisniva Adventure Facility which is perfectly located to maximize our chances of seeing the magnificent Northern Lights. You have an excellent opportunity to learn more about this intriguing phenomenon as well as the history of Alta.

Day 4 Alta

Breakfast buffet. Today you start with a visit to the award-winning Alta Museum, located at the site of early settlement of Finnmark dating around 11,000 years ago and featuring exhibitions on local culture and history. Afterwards you visit to the elegant and modern Northern Lights Cathedral located in the central part of town. The balance of the day is reserved for exploring more of this arctic town on your own. The evening offers optional sleigh ride under the northern lights. You travel to a farm in the nearby countryside where we climb aboard a sleigh and get bundled up in warm blankets. The sleigh is pulled by a Norwegian Fjord Horse through the forest and along the Alta River, while you sit back and enjoy the peace and beauty around you. At the end of the ride, you stop at a wilderness shelter where a traditional dinner is served around a warm fire and if you are lucky you are dazzled by the Northern Lights.

Day 5 Alta departure

Breakfast buffet. Transfer from your hotel to Alta Airport. We say good bye to you today and wish you safe return back home. Thank you for joining our tou
