Overview

Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia, is located in the Tuul River valley elevated at 1,350m above sea level. Ulaanbaatar is the cultural, political, and financial heart of the country. The name Ulaanbaatar means "Red Hero". After World War II, under socialism with the help of Soviet Russia, old-styled districts were replaced with new districts with apartments and new buildings. According to the new Constitution of Mongolia which was adopted in 1992, it states“Ulaanbaatar is the capital city of Mongolia” and the capital has its official flag and symbol. Ulaanbaatar city has numerous museums with world-famous valuable exhibits and Buddhist heritage sights.

Itinerary
Day 1: Visit Gandan Monastery - Chinggis Khaan Museum - Art performance

08:30 am Your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel. Move to Gandantegchinlen monastery.

09:00 - 10:30 am Visit the monastery and see the biggest standing Megjid Janraisig statue.

10:30 - 1:30 pm Move to Chinggis Museum and visit the museum. 

1:30 - 2:30 pm Lunch

2:30 - 3:30 pm Visit Sukhbaatar Square (before it is called Chinggis Khaan Square).

3:30 - 5:00 pm Move to Zaisan Memorial Hill. Visit the site and enjoy a whole view of the city from the top of the hill.

5:00 pm Move to Tumen Ekh ensemble.

6:00 - 7:00 pm Enjoy the traditional art performance by the Tumen Ekh ensemble.

7:00 pm Move to your hotel, end of the service.
