Overview

This tour is made especially for people interested in the culture and history of Victoria. It starts with the initial pickup from a Vancouver hotel. You will then board BC Ferries and enjoy a scenic cruise through the Gulf Islands. Start your tour on Vancouver Island by travelling to Butchart Gardens and spend some time admiring the 55 acres of flower filled paths. Discover many themed gardens and displays, and admire masterful landscaping along the way. Afterwards, you will head south to visit Craigdarroch Castle. During the drive, you’ll see landmarks like the Legislature Buildings, Empress Hotel, Beacon Hill Park and Victoria's iconic waterfront. At the castle, there is a guided tour explaining its rich history and Cultural Significance. Admire the awe inspiring romanesque architecture. Afterwards, visit the scenic marina, and maybe grab some fresh seafood on the docks before returning to the ferry to finish out the tour. It was built between 1887 and 1890 by Robert Dunsmuir, a Scottish immigrant who made his fortune in the coal industry. The castle was designed by Warren Heywood Williams, a prominent architect of the time, and features 39 rooms spread across four floors, as well as intricate woodwork, stained glass windows, and a stunning tower with 87 steps that offers panoramic views of the city and the surrounding area The Butchart Gardens Butchart Gardens is a National Historic Site of Canada. It is 55 acres of wonderful floral display located in Greater Victoria on Vancouver Island. People will enjoy the extensive display of flowers and exotic bird life.
