Itinerary
Day 1

8:00am-12:30pm Three days of hiking and camping is the focus of our Yosemite Escape Camping Tour! In the morning of the first day, your guide will meet you at the Hilton Union Square on the Mason Street Side before crossing the Bay Bridge and leaving the city behind. Once out of San Francisco, we cross the Central Valley and through gold country on our way into the mountains.

12:30-mid afternoon: Upon reaching the park, enjoy lunch among giants as we arrive at a grove of Giant Sequoia trees. (Lunch on the first day is not included, but you'll make a stop en route to pick up something to-go) You’ll take in the meditative views next to trees that measure up to 300 feet tall, 30 feet wide, and some older than two thousand years old.

3:30-5:30pm: Continuing further into the park with a narrated tour by your guide, you'll descend into Yosemite Valley and be delighted by Tunnel View, one of the most famous and photographed parts of the park. While in Yosemite Valley, your guide will give you an orientation to the park as well as an explanation of the itinerary and options for the next two days.

5:30pm- onward: Now it's time to head to camp and get set up for the next few days. Camping is easy, but cooperation is important. Don't worry if you've never camped before; many people haven't. We supply the camping and cooking equipment necessary for a trip of this nature, using quality tents, camping and cooking equipment (you will need a sleeping bag - and we offer the option to rent one). Everybody is expected to participate in the set-up and breakdown of camp, and our professional guides are there to ensure a positive camping experience. Dinner is included tonight and your guide will make sure to provide all the ingredients for a healthy home-cooked feast at camp. Top off your first night camping with a campfire, a dip in the hot tub or drinks at the nearby mountain pub!.

Day 2

7:00am - 7:00pm Rising early, you'll prepare breakfast and pack a lunch before heading off for a fun day full of hiking, sightseeing, and exploring. Usually the second day is reserved for exploring Yosemite's High Country (road conditions permitting). The options are endless, but your guide will recommend the best hikes for the group. Get a 360 view of Tuolumne Meadows from either the top of Lembert Dome or the more challenging Mount Hoffman. Afterwards, reward yourself with a dip in the pure alpine waters of Tenaya Lake, the "jewel of the high country." Dinner is not included tonight, but your guide will choose a convenient spot for a delicious meal after a long day exploring Yosemite's higher elevations.

Day 3

7:00am - 3:00pm: Rise and shine on your last day with the group. You'll make breakfast, a lunch and pack up camp in preparation for departure. Day three is typically a free day, where the itinerary is based on the interests of the group. Normally you'll head back into Yosemite Valley, where you can choose one of a number of great hikes, rent a bike, or relax in the shade by the emerald green Merced River.

3:00pm onward: After a full last day in the park you'll leave the national park and return to San Francisco by 9pm.
