Itinerary
Day 1: Athens - Mycenae - Epidaurus - Ancient Olympia 

Our driver will pick you up from your Hotel at 08.30 and we will make a short stop at the breathtaking Canal of Corinth with the amazing view of the 6 km length and 80m height! We will continue our tour to visit Ancient Mycenae, the center of Greek civilization, home to the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon. Visit the Cyclopean Walls, the famous Lion’s Gate and the ‘’Atreus King Tomb’’! The most relaxing part of the tour, is upon our arrival at the one of the most beautiful towns of Greece and the first capital city at the Modern Greek history, the seaside town of Nafplio, early in the afternoon! You can have a traditional Greek lunch here and then walk next to the coast, or you can visit the Castle of the Town, with the 999 steps (!) and the amazing view, or take a taxi boat to visit the small island of Bourtzi, in the middle of the city’s harbor, the fort on the sea and Nafplio’ s trademark! Afterwards, we will have our last stop at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus of the 15.000 spectators and the breathtaking acoustics. Then we will leave Nafplio to reach at Olympia. Overnight in Olympia

Day 2: Ancient Olympia - Nafpactus

Delphi At 09.00 o’clock we will visit the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia, where the first Olympic Games took place in 776 B.C. The temple of Zeus is located there which is the most celebrated sanctuary of ancient Greece. Dedicated to Zeus, in which in antiquity was hosted one of the 7 wonders of the Ancient world. You will also visit the temple of Hera, the shrine of Pelops (one of the oldest in the sanctuary), the Council house where the athletes took the Olympic oath, the Treasury houses, the Gymnasium and the Palestra where they used to exercise for a month prior to the Games. Leaving Ancient Olympia, we will cross over the amazing bridge of Rion – Antirion, one of the biggest bridges in Europe. For the wine lovers, we suggest a tasting tour in a winery. Then we will head to Naupactus, a beautiful seaside small town, where you can visit the Venetian Castle, the Venetian Port, here you will have a delicious lunch. Finally we will reach in Delphi for overnight.

Day 3: Delphi - Arachova - Athens

Today we will explore Delphi: A History of the Centre of the Ancient World. Delphi in the 6th century B.C was the religious centre and symbol of unity of the ancient Greek world. We will visit the tholos of the sanctuary of Athena Pronaia, the Ancient theatre of Delphi, the Treasury of the Athenians and the Ancient gymnasium of Delphi. We will also visit the Castalian Spring fountain, which was the sacred source of Delphi as its water played an important role in the cult and procedure of the temple and of the oracle. Last but not least, we will visit the temple of Apollo, the most important building in the sanctuary of Apollo at Delphi (which according to the ancient world was considered the centre of the earth). This was the symbolic hub of the entire complex and contained within it the omphalos, the mysterious belly-button stone, said to be the stone swallowed by Cronus in the belief that it was his son Zeus. It was also the place from which Pythia, the oracle priestess, spoke. Apollo was the "seer" and Pythia was a vessel through whom Apollo spoke. Finally, we will visit the Archaeological Museum of Delphi, one of the most important museums in Greece, including exhibits from the history of the Delphic sanctuary.You will have lunch in Delphi area or at the traditional Village of Arachova, where you can taste the traditional cheese, Arachova’s formaela, in various forms, before we return in Athens
