Day 1: Crossing Carpathian Mountains
Your dedicated Certified English-speaking guide will pick you up from the hotel in Bucharest. After approx. 2hrs driving through Wallachia, you will arrive in Sinaia mountain resort. Here you will visit the Peles Castle, the impressive Summer residence of the Romanian Royal Family. Next you will stop in Brasov, for a delicious traditional lunch in one of the many Romanian restaurants in the Old City Center. In the evening you will arrive in the medieval city of Sibiu, former European Cultural Capital in 2007. Overnight in a 4-star hotel, with breakfast included
Day 2: Medieval Transylvania
In the second day of our tour you will visit the largest castles in Transylvania - Hunyadi Castle, in Hunedoara. An impressive medieval fortress serving both military and prince residential purposes starting 15th century. Next on our list will be Alba Iulia citadel, a city dating back to the ancient time. It was first a Dacian fortress, a Roman Castrum, an Hungarian Fortress, an Habsburgic vauban-style citadel, the place where the "Big Union" took place on 1st of December 1918 and King Carol's coronation ceremony in 1922. As such, it is a probably the richest historic sight in Romania. In the second part of the day we will arrive in the city of Sighisoara, part of UNESCO Heritage sight. Day 3: Dracula's Castle
Continuing our tour through the picturesque landscape of Transylvania, we will arrive in Bran, once border village between Wallachia and Transylvania. Here you will unveil the truth behind famous Dracula's Legend, by visiting of the best know tourist attractions in Romania - Dracula's Castle. In the evening you will arrive back to Bucharest.
